Dory Brown
Host, JFK
Hi, I'm Dory. To me, National Disability Employment Awareness Month is a reminder that people, regardless of their challenges, can still be valuable assets to companies like OTG. While I may not be able to perform some tasks, there are many others where I excel. I’m grateful to have found a role that suits my physical abilities. One of my biggest inspirations is Jim Abbott, a pitcher who was born without a right hand and still made it to the major leagues, even throwing a no-hitter! His story reminds me that, if he can overcome his challenges, I can manage my journey with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy Type 1. It's important that OTG celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month because it acknowledges that everyone is different. Some people may need support, and that’s perfectly okay. OTG’s support has allowed me to thrive in my role as a host, helping me find a position where I can contribute, feel productive, and accomplish something meaningful each day. While I may not be a cook or a server, I can still talk to people and assist them, and that makes a difference.

Hello, I’m Ramon. Celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month means a lot to me. It’s not just about recognition for myself, but for all the employees with disabilities within OTG. It shows that we are seen, valued, and not hidden. Throughout my career, I’ve had some incredible inspirations. Michael Murphy and Steven Chaitram have both made a significant impact on my life. Michael hired me at OTG and has always been there for me, no matter the situation. Whether I call or text, he responds quickly and is always ready to help. I’ve known Steven for several years, and he consistently goes above and beyond to assist me with my work, offering advice that helps me improve every day. It’s meaningful that OTG celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month because it’s an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, and experiences of workers with disabilities within the company. I’ve been with OTG for 21 years, and they’ve supported me every step of the way. When I make mistakes, they guide me, making me feel happy and supported. OTG truly feels like home.

Hey, I’m Adrian. Celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month means a lot to me. It shows that we recognize and value the contributions of people with disabilities. My biggest inspirations have been my parents and my boss, Chef Raj. They’ve always been there for me, providing support and guidance whenever I’ve needed it. For OTG to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month is meaningful. It’s important that OTG continues to support employees with disabilities and helps others find the right jobs that match their abilities. The way OTG has supported my career path has been incredible. While I may not be able to hear, I feel understood and valued, which makes OTG feel like home.
