The United Airlines Fantasy Flight Program has been taking off at airports around the country for decades bringing joy to children afflicted with illness, poverty and special needs. This year OTG was lucky enough to be an active event sponsor and led a team of volunteers who were able to participate in the Houston Fantasy Flight experience at IAH airport Terminal C.

“It was a wonderful event and such an honor for us to help make this a memorable experience for the young warriors of Texas Children’s Hospital (MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital, Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital).” – Libby Hurley, OTG IAH Property Manager.

The kids were greeted by a cheerful crowd of United employees and volunteers alike and were escorted to their santa flight gate by Disney princesses, Star Wars characters, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other heroes and characters. In total, 52 patients came with their families to enjoy a fun-filled day of Christmas magic!

After takeoff the children enjoyed a high energy flight and landed a short time later at the North Pole! Disembarking in a winter wonderland, a portion Terminal C was overhauled with crafts and Holiday snacks for the children and their families. Santa and Mrs. Clause were the highlight of the day taking photos and Christmas wishes from the children in attendance.
